The London Backpackers is a funky, retro hostel located within North-West London. It caters mostly to
student and backpackers, and provides accommodations in dorm-style or private rooms. It is located on the
main street within Hendon, and is easily accessible to a variety of nightlife such as pubs and bars.
There is a self-catering kitchen to cook meals, or food can be purchased at one of many local restaurants
located on the main street.
As a result of its location, the hostel can offer prices that are much less than other hostels in Central
London, and has a friendly staff. London Backpackers is ideal for those wanting to getaway to a different side to London!
What’s Good:
The staff and owner of the London Backpackers hostel are very friendly, and since it has its own Travel Desk,
all London tour or travel plans can be arranged in minutes. There is a laid-back atmosphere to the hostel,
and it is easily accessible from the nearest train at Hendon Central. They do provide free Wi-Fi, so it is
possible to stay connected to family and friends while in London.
What’s Not So Good:
Even though it is an affordable hostel, it is located quite a distance from Central London. This is perfect
for anyone who wants to enjoy suburban London.
However, for anyone wanting to live as close as possible to tourist attractions, this would not be the hostel
to choose in terms of its location. It is at least 30-40 minutes on the subway to go to Central London.
There are only a small number of lockers, so it will be necessary to secure your valuables in a safe place.
