This clean, friendly hostel is located a short distance from Regent’s Park and the London Zoo.
It is quite popular with numerous backpackers and students visiting London. It is really an impressive
modern hostel located in a trendy location in London.
The total focus of the hostel is on its guests. It offers a variety of tour and sightseeing packages
to make the most of your stay in London. Since the age groups of guests staying there is in the 20s-30s,
there are ample opportunities to socialize and make new friends.
The hostel has single and double rooms, with Internet access. It is only a few minutes walk from Great
Portland Street station, or Regent’s Park station, both of which provide a quick ride to Kings Cross or Central London.
Travel information is provided by the Tours Desk, and allows you to book any tourist activity or tour
within London. The Tours Desk can also provide information about traveling around England.
What’s Good:
The best advantage of staying at the International Students House is the ability to meet other young
people and students. This is particularly useful for anyone traveling alone. If you plan to be in London
for a long vacation, weekly rates are available.
There are two buildings to the hostel, located within a few blocks of each other. Extended stay guests
are given rooms in Marylebone, whereas short stay guests are placed in the Regent's Park location.
There is a laid-back atmosphere, and its trendy location allows you to forget that you are staying in a hostel.
The room does contain a washbasin and telephone, with a refrigerator added to single rooms. Breakfast
is included, with food for lunch and dinner available for sale.
A “no curfew” policy allows you to stay out as long as you like.
What’s Not So Good:
The hostel can be a bit noisy in the morning, as people leave to catch flights, or go to breakfast.
It is recommended that you wake up early to ensure a hot shower.
There are separate bathrooms for male and females, but they can be dirty or crowded especially when staying in the dorm rooms.
Another thing to note: if you are placed in a room above the hostel’s bar, prepare yourself for a long sleepless night!
